General terms and conditions
References in these terms and conditions to “you” or “your” are references to individuals who use the Website. References to “we”, “us” or “our” means Fraud Advisory Panel (registered charity no. 1108863 and company number 04327390 at registered office Chartered Accountants’ Hall, Moorgate Place, London EC2R 6EA.)
This website has been launched by Fraud Advisory Panel in collaboration with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. This website is owned and operated by Fraud Advisory Panel.
By accessing any part of this website, or opening emails, you shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions in full.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England & Wales and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
By signing the fraud pledge, you promise to:
- Appoint: a suitable person (staff member, volunteer or trustee) to champion counter fraud work throughout our organisation.
- Ensure: that all our trustees are aware of their legal duty to protect the charity’s assets.
- Consult: with staff, volunteers and trustees to identify the types of fraud that threaten us and the ways we can prevent them.
- Create: a written fraud policy and share it regularly – with staff, volunteers and trustees – so that everyone understands what fraud is and how they can help prevent it.
- Perform: checks on the individuals and organisations with whom we have a financial relationship.
- Assess: each year how well our fraud controls are working, taking into account new risks and making improvements as needed.
When providing us with a copy of your logo, you granted us a worldwide perpetual royalty free licence to use your logo solely on the Website in the list of organisations that have signed the fraud pledge. If we identify that you have not complied with the fraud pledge, we reserve the right to remove your name and / or logo from the list of organisations that have signed the fraud pledge.
The copyright and other intellectual property rights in all material and content on this site including photographs and graphical images and the organisation and layout of the site, is owned by Fraud Advisory Panel and the Charity Commission for England and Wales and/or their licensors, unless stated otherwise.
Helpsheets are published under a creative commons license. We encourage you to share, copy and redistribute these in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes only, so long as attribution is provided. Events terms and conditions
Registering for an event
Booking confirmation will be sent to you for all online bookings. Please note that we can only process your booking if you have provided a valid email address.
If you have not received an email confirmation within 48 hours of making your booking, please contact [email protected]. If you cannot attend an event, you can transfer your place to another individual or organisation. Places can be transferred at any time up to and including the day of the event.
Attending the event
It may be necessary for reasons beyond our control to change the content and timing of the programme, the speakers, the date or the venue at any time prior to the event date.
External speakers alone are responsible for the content of their respective sessions. It is our policy to give the fullest freedom to contributors/speakers to express their opinions. The opinions expressed by the speakers do not necessarily represent the views of Fraud Advisory Panel or the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Our speakers will make every effort to ensure the validity and accuracy of the information they provide.
We reserve the right to film, record or photograph any of the speakers at an event for post event purposes. This includes (but is not limited to) making the webinars and virtual events available on-demand afterward on the site.
After the event
At the end of the event a feedback link will be posted in the comments box. We ask that you please take a few minutes to complete this as it allows us to continue to improve and tailor future events more closely to your requirements.
If we have to cancel the event, our liability in the event of cancellation is limited to a full refund of the event fee only. We will not refund any travel or hotel costs associated with the cancellation of an event.
We accept no liability if an event is cancelled or postponed for reasons beyond our reasonable control resulting from an act of God, governmental regulation, fire, war, terrorist activity or civil commotion.
