Fraud continues to be high-risk and as the sector emerges from the pandemic that risk only increases. This interactive fraud awareness course will illustrate to the participants the importance of managing fraud in a straight-forward and basic way. This session will cover:

  • What is fraud and why is it important?
  • How to spot it – and how to stop it?
  • Common challenges and how to overcome these
  • Case Studies

Guest speaker

Dave Carter, Chair, UK Charities Against Fraud Group

Dave is chair of the UK Charities Against Fraud Group which brings together charities and other not-for-profits with an active interest in sharing good fraud prevention practice. He is also head of global counter fraud at the British Council and an advisory committee member of the anti-fraud charity, Fraud Advisory Panel. He has worked within the charity sector for the past seven years and prior to that was a Detective Chief Inspector in the City of London Police.
